CRISTIAN RODRIGUEZ LEFT OUT OF URUGUAY WORLD CUP SQUAD-2010/URUGUAY PRELIMINARY SQUAD FOR FIFIA WORLD CUP 2010


Porto midfielder Cristian Rodriguez who currently plays for F.C. Porto was left out of a provisional 26-man Uruguay World Cup squad announced by coach Oscar Washington Tabarez. He is well known for his speed and technical ability. Rodríguez made his Uruguayan national side debut at age 18 in a friendly against Mexico, and went on to represent the nation in two Copa América tournaments. Rodriguez was suspended for four games after receiving a red card in the last match of the South American qualifying campaign.
The preliminary squad of 26 players is listed below.
