EGYPT WON AFRICAN CUP FOOTBALL TITLE-2010

Egypt won a record seventh African Cup of Nations title, also known as the Orange Africa Cup of Nations for sponsorship reasons. This was the 27th Africa Cup of Nations, the biennial football championship of Africa. They beat Ghana by 1-0 at Estadio 11 Novembro in Luanda, Angola. This is their third consecutive victory. A late goal from Mohamed Nagy Gedo helped Egypt to clinch the trophy for a record seventh time.

The win was consolation for their heart-breaking World Cup play-off defeat to Algeria. Chances were few and far between for both sides but, as players tired in the heat, the game opened up and until Egypt's moment of magic it looked like Ghana might sneak victory and they even missed a last-gasp chance to level.
