NEW ZEALAD BEAT BANGLADESH BY 121 RUNS IN THE ONLY TEST MATCH AT HAMILTON
Man of the Match: Martin Guptill
Bangladesh once again proved that they are a good fighting team. Some of their top orders, especially Mohammad Ashraful should be eliminated from the next series. He has given enough chances. Still he fails to score runs.
After winning the toss, Bangladesh elected to field. Martin Guptill (189) and Brendon McCullum (185) guided New Zealand to a mammoth total of 553/7.Rubel Hossain was the successful bowler of Bangladesh who took 5 wickets for 166 runs.
In reply Bangla batsmen fight back after losing 6 wickets for 196 runs. Thanks to the brilliant batting of Mahmudullah who scored a sparkling century of 115 runs. "Why he is not promoted to the top order of Bangladesh?”Every cricket fans have this question in their mind. Bangladesh scored 408 runs in the first innings with the help of Captain Shakib Al Hasan who scored valuable 87 runs.
In the second innings of New Zealand, Tim McIntosh scored 89 runs and the hero of first Innings "Martin Guptil" remains not out on 56. Kiwis declared their innings after scoring 257 runs and put a target of 403 runs to Bangladesh.
The top order Bangla batsman failed once again and they lost 5 wickets while scoring 78 runs. Captain Shakib Al Hasan scored a century (100) but that would not help them to avoid the defeat. Bangladesh lost the match by 121 runs.
